Ethiopian wolves are the world’s rarest canid. With a population of under 500 individuals, they live on afroalpine plateaus in the highlands of Ethiopia. Having slept out in the grassland overnight, each morning they greet their fellow pack members before setting off to patrol the borders of their territory. The rest of the day is largely spent hunting rodents.
